Would you like to join us on our Scrapbooking Weekend on 30^th May – 1^st June 2008?

Full Payment is due by 1^st May 2008.  Payment can be made by instalments.  We accept Credit Cards, Money orders, Direct Debit or cheques. (*Please note No refunds after 15^th May 2008 )

Our Program for the weekend and our Workshop List will be finalised closer to Retreat and we will forward them ASAP.  Our super talented Design Team will be there to provide general tuition, advice on colour and design choices.   We are so looking forward to a fantastic weekend of fun, games, prizes, laughter, good company and of course, Heaps of Scrapping!!

Meals:

1         Continental buffet breakfast

2         Afternoon tea of fruit platters, homemade muffins & cakes, a selection of  juices, Twinings tea selection & organic coffee (Saturday)

3         Lunch – see attached menu

4         Morning tea of homemade biscuits & shortbreads, Twinings tea selection & organic coffee (Sunday)

5         Tea and Coffee available at all times

Please advise us of any food requirements/allergies etc.

Dinner is available in the open-air restaurant at the resort.   Otherwise, meals are available in Kuranda Village and we can provide a free shuttle service into Kuranda if required.

*NB      Day rate includes lunch, afternoon tea & all day tea & coffee.

            The Resort has Happy Hour with half-price drinks between 5 and 6pm.

Our Theme:  Sports Party (Think of your favourite sports team or personality and dress accordingly).  We will be having a best dressed “Sport” after Dinner  Saturday Night) as well as great music, fun and plenty of treats throughout the weekend.

Where to go:   Kuranda Resort & Spa is located at the corner of Kennedy Highway and Greenhills Road, Kuranda, near the Kuranda Village.  If coming from Cairns, the Resort is on your left hand side.  If coming from Mareeba, turn to the right. 

Accommodation:

Luxury rooms contain superior quality furnishings, airconditioning, ceiling fan, TV with selected

AusStar channels, tea & coffee making facilities, oversized Egyptian day bed and ensuite.  Please note accommodation contains a Queen bed.  The Quadruple share villas consist of a King bed upstairs in the loft and a downstairs room with a Queen bed.   There are also 1 bedroom self-contained villas or spa villas if you are feeling indulgent.    There is a ladder to the loft bedroom which may prove difficult to anyone with a disability or who is afraid of heights.  Please advise if this is the case, so we can advise with regard to most suitable accommodation.   (Please also note the rooms can get very cold so extra blankets and warm pajamas are highly recommended)

Day Spa Treatments

The Resort offers a range of massages and treatments so you can truly relax and indulge yourself.  Their Treatment Menu is also attached for your information.  If you are considering a spa treatment, please indicate what you would like and whether you have a preferred time and/or day with your booking form.   

Scrapping Stuff

We will have most of our stock range from Memories in Mareeba, plus lots of brand new goodies -   Hopefully, everything you need from cardstock to embellishments.  Please bring your own tools and extras, but if in doubt & to save space, if you really aren’t going to use it, most likely someone else has brought one anyway.

We’d also love to see your albums and its fun to share your pages with others, so if you would like to bring them we will have an area set up for looking.   Our Sizzix machine, and other tools are also available for use.

NB.   The attached timetable is in draft form at the moment and included as a guide.  Our very talented teachers are busily polishing off their class projects at the moment and we will provide class details and the finalized timetable in the next few weeks.

Friday 30th May 2008 5-6pm - Check in get settled.  Happy hour by the pool for those wishing to partake. 6:30pm – Dinner 7:30pm – Part 1 of Teina’s Canvas Class with Teina Cumming (applying the crackle paint) 9:00pm - Fun, Games &  Scrap till late Saturday 31st May 2008 7:30- 8:30am – Breakfast (provided) 9am - Introductions and Overview of weekend.  10:30am – Completion of Teina’s Canvas Class 12:30pm – Lunch 2pm – Heritage Layout Class with Cynthia McNab 3:30pm - Afternoon tea 4pm – Off the Page Class with Louise Dahlstrom 5-6pm - Happy Hour by the pool for those wishing to partake 7pm - Dinner 9pm – “Sports” Party & Scrapping till Late Sunday 1st June 2008 7:30-8:30am – Breakfast 9am – Scrapping 9.30am – Layout Class with Rachael Merrick  11am – Morning Tea 11.30am – Make ‘n Take Card Class with Kimberley Mallon 1pm - Lunch 1:30pm - Scrapping 4:45pm - Pack up and head for home!

R&R (Relax & Recapture) Memories Retreat PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A GUIDE ONLY Non-Stop Scrapping available from 7pm Friday to 4.45pm Sunday (except for a few hours sleep and meals!) Attending scrapping sessions is optional so please feel free to come and go as you please.  Classes are also optional, so feel free to join any you wish or keep scrapping if you would rather.  Layouts and projects for classes will be on display in the shops in the fortnight leading up to the Retreat so you can have a sneak preview & to assist with photo choices etc. Prepayment is required for all class prior to retreat to allow our instructors to prepare class kits. During the weekend we will be holding competitions, challenges, games and giving away heaps of prizes!! It is heaps of fun but not compulsory to join in.  Please feel free to keep scrapping if you prefer to. There will be plenty of time over the weekend to indulge in a relaxing massage or treatment & we hope some of you will take the opportunity.
